The Origin of the Opening Ceremony
Since the formal registration of Pengzu Institute Japan (hereinafter the Institute) in Tokyo on October 15, 2025, nearly a year of careful preparation has led to the Opening Ceremony scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2026. With the mission of inheriting the millennial lineage of Pengzu and promoting the wellness culture of China, the Institute is rooted in Jinbocho, Tokyo, and welcomes all enthusiasts of Eastern culture from China, Japan, Korea, and around the world to study the true essence of the ancient Pengzu arts of wellness.
Date, Time and Venue
Date and Time: Saturday, August 29, 2026, 13:00-16:00. Venue: Jinbocho Book Center, 2-3-1 Kanda Jinbocho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. Access: 2-minute walk from Exit A4 of Jinbocho Station on the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line, Toei Mita Line, or Toei Shinjuku Line.
Program of the Ceremony
The Opening Ceremony comprises three major segments. First, a lecture on the history of the Pengzu lineage, delivered by the Institute's Master and successor Aiqing, tracing the source of the Pengzu-Xu Fu millennial lineage. Second, a live demonstration of the three foundational arts — Standing Post, Breathing Inner Alchemy, and Dao Yin — performed by the third-generation successor Aiqing himself. Third, an interactive dialogue with attendees concerning the transmission of Chinese Daoist culture in contemporary Japan.

The ceremony is open to all those interested in the Pengzu wellness culture, students of Chinese Daoist culture, practitioners of qigong and Dao Yin, and those who care about Sino-Japanese cultural exchange. The Way is never solitary; it is sure to find its kin. A millennial lineage continues its bond in the Eastern Isles.
Both the General Training Course (foundation program) and the Inner Disciple Mastery Course (advanced program) are now open for enrollment. All enthusiasts of traditional culture are warmly welcomed to attend the ceremony and to share in this auspicious occasion.
